About me
I am a full professor and head of the Energy Informatics group at TU Clausthal, Germany. Prior to joining TU Clausthal, I was a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales, Australia. I received my doctoral degree with distinction from TU Darmstadt, Germany, in 2011, and my diploma degree (equivalent to M.Sc.) from the same university in 2007.
In my current research activities, I primarily focus on data-driven solutions in the domain of energy analytics. This includes the design and operation of embedded sensing systems as well as AI-based energy data analytics for the provision of user-centric services. I am actively serving on the organizing and technical program committees of international conferences and frequently review for leading journals in the field.
I am a senior member of the IEEE, a member of the Extended Steering Board of KuVS, the GI/ITG special interest group on “Communication and Distributed Systems”, and chair of the IEEE Computer Society’s Technical Activities Committee.
