I am head of the “Energy Informatics” group and principal investigator of the DFG-funded research project “SECoM: A Systematic Energy Information Collection Methodology for Improved Energy Analytics” at TU Clausthal, Germany. Prior to joining TU Clausthal, I was recipient of a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of New South Wales, Australia. I received my doctoral degree with distinction from TU Darmstadt, Germany, in 2011, and my diploma degree (equivalent to M.Sc) from the same university in 2007.

My current research focuses on all areas related to using embedded sensing systems, particularly in the domain of energy informatics. I am actively serving on the organizing and technical program committees of international conferences and frequently review for leading journals in the field.

I am a senior member of the IEEE, an elected member of the Steering Committee of KuVS, the GI/ITG special interest group on “Communication and Distributed Systems”, and chair of the IEEE Computer Society’s Technical Committee on Computer Communications (TCCC).
